Melon-pult is a plant that appears in the Blover's Komiks series. He is the son of Plantifier and Cob Cannon, and the middle sibling of the Pult Brothers. Unlike most plants however, is that he disapproves of the Zombies Are Our Friends Club's philosophies towards the Zombies.

Appearance[]

Melon-pult appears as a stylized version of a watermelon, with a spring connected to a brown basket with a watermelon in it.

His modern appearance follows his design in the game's sequel, where his basket was replaced with a hollowed-out watermelon. His basal leaves take on a slightly different look as well.

History[]

Issue 8: Dreadful Birthday[]

Melon-pult appears in the early panels of the comic, where he was invited to Sunflower's (dreadful) birthday.

Issue 14: Melon-y Sleepover[]

Melon-pult is sleeping and Blover is having a hard time waking him up.

Issue 35: Labccidents[]

Melon-pult asks Kernel-pult about a concoction the latter just made, which was a growth-inducing potion that turned out to be faulty. His physical features swap with Cabbage-pult after a defective antidote was made.

Personality[]

Melon-pult is a headstrong plant, and he is mostly confident in his abilities. This is likely an allusion to his Almanac entry in Plants vs. Zombies, where his modesty is justified. On the other side of the coin, he is also stubborn, as indicated by his rebellion towards the Zombies Are Our Friends Club's principles.

He appears to be somewhat difficult to wake up, as shown in his sleepover with Blover. On an unrelated note, Melon-pult's behavior towards Cabbage-pult is similar to his older brother's, ignoring him all the same.

Trivia[]

  • It has been speculated that Melon-pult is the middle sibling of the Pult Brothers, because of Kernel-pults Almanac entry in Plants vs. Zombies.
    • This speculation was confirmed to be true in Melon-pult's Plants vs. Zombies 2 Almanac entry.
